Ingredients
- 8 ounces macaroni pasta
- 4 slices bacon
- 1 cup jalapeños, chopped
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the macaroni pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, cook the bacon until crispy; remove and crumble.
- In the same skillet, add chopped jalapeños and cook for 2-3 minutes, just until they soften.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute to create a roux. Gradually add milk, whisking until smooth.
- Stir in the cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until melted and creamy.
- Combine cooked macaroni, jalapeños, crumbled bacon, and cheese sauce. Mix well and serve hot.
