Description
A restaurant-quality meal featuring a juicy ribeye steak, creamy mashed potatoes, and sautéed asparagus.
Ingredients
- 2 ribeye steaks
- 2 large potatoes
- 1 bunch asparagus
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Garlic powder
- Fresh herbs (optional)
Instructions
- Boil the potatoes until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and mash with butter, salt, and pepper to taste.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the steaks with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Cook the steaks for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting time based on thickness.
- In the last few minutes of cooking the steak, add asparagus to the skillet and sauté until tender, about 3-5 minutes.
- Serve the steak with mashed potatoes and asparagus on the side, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
Notes
Let the steak rest before slicing to keep it tender and juicy. Substitute asparagus with green beans or Brussels sprouts if desired.
