Description

Crispy and flavorful dry rub chicken wings, perfect for game day or a weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken wings
  • 2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) or your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together smoked paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, onion powder, and cayenne pepper (if using) to create the dry rub.
  3. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to ensure the rub sticks.
  4. Toss the wings in the spice blend until they are evenly coated.
  5. For oven baking: Arrange the wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for about 40-45 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until crispy. For air frying: Place the wings in the basket in a single layer and air fry for about 25-30 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  6. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

Patting wings dry is crucial for crispiness. Letting the rub sit on the wings for at least 30 minutes enhances flavor.
