  • 2 cups macaroni pasta
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: breadcrumbs for topping


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the macaroni pasta according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour to create a roux, cooking for about 1 minute until bubbly.
  4. Gradually whisk in the milk, stirring continuously until the mixture thickens and is smooth.
