Description

A comforting one-pot dish that combines creamy mac and cheese with hearty chili, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 1 can chili (15 oz)
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or a blend)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: chopped green onions, jalapenos, or sour cream

Instructions

  1. Cook the macaroni according to the package directions; drain well.
  2. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat until bubbly.
  3. Stir in the milk, chili, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until mixed well.
  4. Add the cooked macaroni and mix everything together thoroughly.
  5. Stir in the shredded cheese until it’s melted and creamy, creating a luscious sauce.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with optional toppings for an extra flavor burst.

Notes

Make sure to stir constantly once you add the cheese to prevent it from clumping and to ensure your sauce is perfectly creamy.
