Perfectly crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, these oven-baked chicken wings are easy to prepare and bursting with flavor.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds chicken wings
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Place a wire rack on top.
- In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with the olive oil until well-coated.
- In a separate small bowl, mix the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and baking powder.
- Sprinkle the seasoning mixture over the wings and toss to coat evenly.
- Arrange the wings in a single layer on the wire rack.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For extra crispy wings, pat them dry with a paper towel before seasoning. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
