Description

Perfectly crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, these oven-baked chicken wings are easy to prepare and bursting with flavor.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Place a wire rack on top.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with the olive oil until well-coated.
  3. In a separate small bowl, mix the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and baking powder.
  4. Sprinkle the seasoning mixture over the wings and toss to coat evenly.
  5. Arrange the wings in a single layer on the wire rack.
  6. Bake for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown.
  7. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra crispy wings, pat them dry with a paper towel before seasoning. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
