A delightful twist on the classic breakfast dish combining fluffy pancakes with comforting cinnamon and baked apples.
Ingredients
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 2 apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- Powdered sugar (for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, flour, and salt until smooth.
- In a large oven-safe skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the sliced apples, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Cook until the apples are slightly softened, stirring occasionally.
- Pour the batter over the apples in the skillet, making sure the apples are evenly distributed.
- Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pancake is puffed and golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
Serve with warm maple syrup, whipped cream, or a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to three days.
